LIBRARY WELCOME

E-mail Print PDF

The library is a place of much activity. At any one time you may find a mixture of many people from both within and outside the school running a variety of programs to support our students learning and development.  At lunchtime the library offers a quiet alternative to the playground. There are loads of new books that have been popular including graphic novels, manga, magazines, newspapers and lots of interesting fiction and non-fiction. We also have games to lend out such as Uno, Skip Bo, battle ship, origami materials etc. Of course, there are the computers that can be used to catch up on homework or just relax and browse the net. Library News

Already this year we have bought many new books, mostly recommended by students. Thank you for all those wonderful suggestions. Home reading draw is next week with several MP3 players up for grabs for years 7-9. A great way to get extra tokens is to register in the Premiers Reading Challenge. Come and see Ms Wright in the library for details.

The Aboriginal cultural centre has recently been completed upstairs. Leah has been busy decorating and it is looking great already. It is great space for painting and other cultural activities. It is open to anyone on Wednesday at lunchtime for painting with Leah.
