Staff
The I.M. Class has had a very busy 2009 so far. Our biggest change was moving upstairs into Room 13 after many years in Room 9.
Our current weekly program is very busy with more students than ever before participating in mainstream elective classes. We currently have students participating in Woodwork, Metalwork, Early Childhood Studies, Drama, Food Technology, Music, Science, P.E. and IST (Information Systems Technology) .
Outside our regular classes (Literacy and Numeracy),our senior students also participate in English, Drama, Early Childhood Studies, Visual Arts, Photography and SVET Automotive, as well as TVET courses in Child Care and Animal Studies at TAFE.
A group of students, led by Lachlan are in charge of the school Recycling Program.

We still have our regular class activities this year such as shopping, cooking and preparing for the regular Staff Morning Tea held every Friday morning. While preparing for the Staff Morning Tea,
The students learn such skills as budgeting, cooking, working under pressure to meet a deadline and food presentation.
We have been very lucky this year to have Science with Mrs Grant and our class has been growing herbs and researching recipes using these herbs, to eventually utilise in the Staff Morning Tea. We also have plans to establish a vegetable garden for the same purpose. The Science group are also in the early stages of constructing a Herbarium (using plants from an area within the school grounds) for future students. We are also very fortunate to have Mr. Aubrey teach the I.M. Class Computers in the Skill Centre each week.

Thanks to the purchase of a new bus, (and the driving of Mr. Tonks), some of our class members had the opportunity to attend a matinee performance of ‘Star Struck’ at Newcastle Entertainment Centre. As well as the many outstanding performances at the event we also watched our clever Aboriginal Didge Group and Dancing Troupe perform. This was a fantastic spectacle and a wonderful experience for the students who travelled to Newcastle.

To involve students in the school community students of the Multi Categorical class have had the opportunity to tidy up a garden. The garden is located outside of their room so students can appreciate their efforts and be able to watch the plants grow. Students maintain the garden by watering, weeding, planting and mulching. The different plants the students have planted include Cuphea, Lavender, Mondo Grass and Agapanthus.
