Technology (Mandatory)
The aim of the Technology (Mandatory) is to develop students’ ability to design, produce and evaluate quality solutions that respond to identified opportunities and needs. It enables students to justify solutions and to responsibly, safely and creatively use and select materials, tools and techniques. At Gorokan High School year 7 students spendone term in the textiles area completing a patchwork cushion, then the next term theyare in thefood technology kitchens preparing and cooking many types of receipes also learning about food types and techniques. Year8 students are given opportunities also in the textiles area making pajama pantslearning
more skills and techniques. lastly year 8 students spend a term in the food technology area learning more about different types of ingrediants, receipes andkitchen safety.
